On Octobre 5th 2016, Linde was born into this world. She is the beautiful daughter of my best friend. She gave us a little scare after her birth, after all her mother and father had done to have her, but now everything is just fine!
I immediately went to visit her, when she got home. Look at that face!
I handed over the big present then, but yesterday, her birth was celebrated with everyone.
And you don’t go to a baby shower without cute baby gifts!
I made the Oliver pants by Emma en Mona – MinnieMie for the first time and man, I’m sorry my own girl is already up to the biggest size. Such a fun, quick and easy pair of pants, both to sew and to put on and take off!
I chose a little more ‘crazy’ stretch fabrics, because that befits Lindes mommy!
This is by the way a great little project for using up stretch fabric leftovers.
Of course, every girl needs a little more girly clothes, so I also made a dress. I started out with the ‘Grace’ pattern from Emma en Mona but ended up drawing an A-line version to be able to fit the Bambi in one front piece. I made the dress completely reversible, finished the hem at the bottom with a little fantasy stitch.
Don’t mind my completely incompetent ironing skills… *oops*
Lovely Linde, may all the happiness in the world come to you. Take good care of your mommy and daddy, they have longed to hold you for so long. You couldn’t be in better hands <3
Doesn’t look half bad on me, does it, a baby in my arms? :-p
